TROSKY ARIZONA CODE OF CONDUCT

At Trosky Arizona Baseball, we are dedicated to providing a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment where young athletes can grow both on and off the field. Our program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, and we rely on players, parents, and coaches to uphold these values.

By participating in Trosky Arizona Baseball, all players, parents, and coaches agree to adhere to the following Code of Conduct to ensure a respectful, productive, and enjoyable experience for all.

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

As a parent, you play a critical role in shaping your child’s experience and the culture of our program. By registering your child for Trosky Arizona Baseball, you agree to uphold the following standards:

1. Support the Players and Coaches

  • Encourage all players with positive reinforcement, regardless of performance or outcome.
  • Trust the coaches’ decisions regarding playing time, strategy, and player development. Our staff is committed to each player’s growth and the team’s success.
  • Refrain from sideline coaching. Allow the coaches to do their jobs and instruct the players. Mixed messages can be confusing and counterproductive.

2. Demonstrate Good Sportsmanship

  • Set the right example for players by maintaining a respectful and positive attitude.
  • Respect umpires, officials, opposing teams, and all participants, regardless of the outcome of the game.
  • No taunting, criticizing, or negative comments directed at players, coaches, officials, or other spectators.

3. Communication and Conflict Resolution

  • If you have a concern, wait 24 hours before addressing it with a coach. This allows time for perspective and ensures a productive conversation.
  • Use appropriate channels for concerns - speak directly with the coach or program director, rather than voicing complaints publicly or among other parents.
  • Respect program decisions and recognize that all decisions are made in the best interest of the players and the team.

4. Commitment to the Team

  • Ensure your child attends all practices, games, and team events on time.
  • Support your child’s commitment to the team by fostering responsibility, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Understand that baseball is a team sport, and every player contributes to the team’s success through dedication and effort.

5. Respect for the Program and Facilities

  • Treat all facilities, equipment, and property with respect and care.
  • Encourage your child to uphold the values of the program on and off the field. Their behavior reflects not only on them but also on their team and the Trosky Arizona community.
  • Follow facility guidelines and clean up after yourself at games, practices, and events.

6. Promoting a Positive Environment

  • Remember that player development, teamwork, and a love for the game are the top priorities. Winning is important, but growth and effort matter more.
  • Avoid placing undue pressure on your child to perform. Instead, focus on their progress, learning, and enjoyment of the sport.
  • Support a culture of hard work, resilience, and positivity, both in victory and in defeat.

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

As a Trosky Arizona Baseball player, you represent your team, your coaches, and your family every time you step on the field. You are expected to conduct yourself with integrity, respect, and a strong work ethic.

1. Commitment to Excellence

  • Show up ready to work hard and improve every day.
  • Take responsibility for your attitude, effort, and skill development - the three things you control.
  • Be coachable, disciplined, and accountable for your actions.

2. Respect for Coaches, Teammates & Opponents

  • Respect your coaches and follow their instructions. They are here to help you succeed.
  • Be a good teammate - support your peers, celebrate their success, and hold yourself to the same standard.
  • Show sportsmanship at all times. Never argue with umpires, opponents, or teammates.

3. Represent the Program with Integrity

  • Be a leader on and off the field. Your actions reflect on you, your team, and Trosky Arizona Baseball.
  • Take care of team equipment, facilities, and uniforms - they are a privilege, not a right.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal conduct in person and online, including social media.

4. Commitment to Team & Development

  • Be present at all practices, games, and team events. If you must miss, notify your coach in advance.
  • Give 100% effort in every drill, game, and workout. No excuses.
  • Be willing to learn - your growth as a player depends on your attitude and dedication.

Consequences for Violations

Trosky Arizona Baseball has a zero-tolerance policy for violations of this Code of Conduct. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in:

A verbal or written warning from the coaching staff.

  • Suspension from practices or games based on the severity of the issue.
  • Dismissal from the program for repeated or severe violations.

We expect all players and parents to uphold the values of Trosky Arizona and contribute to a positive, respectful, and competitive environment.

By participating in Trosky Arizona Baseball, you acknowledge and agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

Final Thoughts

Trosky Arizona Baseball is more than just a team - it’s a community built on discipline, perseverance, and respect for the game. By following this Code of Conduct, we ensure that every player has the best opportunity to grow, succeed, and enjoy baseball at the highest level.
